I’m Alice Elgie-Smith — also known as Wandering Alice — 500HR+ yoga teacher, forever student, wife, ma, and perpetual seeker.

My passion for yoga began more than 25 years ago when I started practicing āsana at home with videos and books. However, I soon realised yoga could take me to a much deeper place than just the physical and thus these ancient teachings now weave their way through every aspect of my daily life.

Since (finally!) embarking on my teacher training several years ago at the age of 46, I have been teaching yoga classes — as well as nature-inspired journalling courses — online and in-person, from wherever I have found myself wandering. It's been a wonderful experience but always I wanted to find a way to more easily unite students all around the world.

The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit root word 'yuj,' which means union, so bringing people together — to support, nurture and encourage one another — is at the core of everything I do.

And so, The Holistic Hub Yoga Studio was born!

This is a yoga studio that focuses on nourishing mind, body, and spirit in a supportive and inclusive way. There is no fuss or fancy — no requirements for hip clothes or a particular body shape — just me, you, and the path ahead of exploring how Yoga can help us live a rich and fulfilled life, both on and off the mat.

A glimpse of what you can expect from your Holistic Hub Yoga Studio on a monthly basis:

🙏🏻 Monthly Theme to Ground and Centre:

  • At the beginning of each month I will suggest a theme to encourage growth and deeper understanding of ourselves, and the world.
  • This may come with a book suggestion, inspiring reading or yoga philosophy insight, and always a suggested journalling prompt.

🧘 Weekly LIVE Online Yoga Class:

  • We'll gather on Zoom each week to breathe, stretch and meditate together.**

😌 Monthly LIVE Mini Retreat:

  • Each month we'll enjoy a longer gathering to include connection, breathwork, yoga, meditation, and sound healing experiences.***

🕉 Pre-recorded Offerings:

  • I'll upload a new yoga class and meditation — or meditative practice — to the (growing) practice library, each and every month.

  • Each quarter we will gather on Zoom to share our life journeys, ask questions and recommend resources.
  • Bring your books, oracle cards, a pad and pen, tea, and an open heart!

🧘 Motivational Yoga Calendar:

  • I'll share a yoga challenge to motivate and nourish and, naturally, these will build up in the library over time so you can keep coming back to them.

✍🏻 Seasonal Nature-inspired Journalling Course:

  • Each quarter I'll create a five-session journalling experience to inspire you into deeper self-reflection, nurturing clarity and joy.
  • These offerings will include mindful video Walks & Talks with me, thoughtful readings and seasonal poetry, meditations, and guiding journalling prompts that will unlock your true potential.
